Reutter Porzellan Quality
From a blank product to a high-quality end product

This step is skilfully executed by hand so it requires excellent craftsmanship. Afterwards, the decorated porcelain product will be burned in the furnace.

The firing, in this case called “decorating firing”, is carried out by an energy-saving procedure with ultraviolet light whilst in the Reutter gas ovens.
This energy-saving procedure has the advantage that the results are always consistent.
The basecoat burns during the decorating firing at over 800 degree Celsius and the décor gets covered from the melted glaze. High-quality and shiny décors are produced through this procedure. Other procedures like thermos sublimation prints would not have the same result as this procedure from Reutter Porzellan GmbH. After cooling, the porcelain will be checked again. But this is not the end of Reutter's finishing process. Some products are then given coloured rims by hand.
